Andrew Murray is one of a handful of teachers who I feel was truly inspired of God and, because of his simple examples and inspired writing style, he is able to communicate God's word in relevant ways that all true Christians will appreciate. He is one of a few whose teachings I will read no matter the subject. He has a simple and concise way of communicating our mission in life as Christ's brothers and sisters.

If you are serious about your relationship with God, and if you are seeking greater inspiration and light regarding your purpose, please put this book high on your reading list.

I have read all of Andrew Murray's books and I find this one to be the best because there is nothing but meat in this book. It is a study of where we are in our walk with the Lord and directions to go deeper into His love. I recommend this highly for those that are seeking a deeper life in Christ.
This book is straight forward instructions about how to make God your all in all. Surrendering your all to Him . I really enjoyed reading it and have learned so much about letting God have His rightful place in me.
I have read many Andrew Murray books. They are all amazing. This one collects in many of the highlights of other ones. And you gotta hold out for the grand finale chapter. I have been very moved by every chapter of this book.
Anything Andrew Murray writes is excellent and five-star. However, recently, publishers have begun to scan and print without proofing. The result is missing words and letters, no proper paragraphs, or chapters, etc. The proposed intent is a more economical book, but this paperback was almost $15.00 and poorly done. Some of the Andrew Murray books (although not this one) have been rewritten into a presumably more readable text, but the fire that defines Andrew Murray is greatly lost. They are also renamed so that you can't tell if you have already purchased the original version. I like to know these things before I buy and these things aren't being presented outright nor is the publisher's page declaring the true facts being made available before purchase. Again, Andrew Murray is well worth reading, but if you are particular about these things research carefully.
This book exceeded all expectations and I am rereading it for the third time. It answered a lot of questions about how to live a life of fellowship with God. God is the same as the day He spoke to his disciples and also, to Andrew Murray as He will speak to us. It is a very easy to read material that seems to enter into your heart the truths just like God said He would. Love to share this book with many others (I have purchased 9 books to give out the wonderful truths contained in it.)
I found this book searching for free kindle classics. Reading this book is like taking private lessons from the spiritual giants of yester-year. Murray's passion and desire for Christians to live a Spirit-filled life is evident and encouraging. Just like any other Christian book it is ultimately meaningless if you don't make time and do the hard work which is better explained here than in many Christian books. Pick this one up and make some time for it as a supplement to your devotional life!
Not only does Andrew Murray touch the very depth of our relationship with our Lord and Heavenly Father but, he gives specific detail as to how we must approach achieving that relationship. This book goes the extra step beyond telling the reader what he/she do by putting our prayer life into words that give our mind and spirit a means to get there.

We have often heard the expression that we must study harder or try harder but, we never get instruction as to how. Andrew Murray tells you how !
